(LĐXH) On February 27th, on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of the Vietnamese Doctor's Day, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung and the delegation of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) visited and gave gifts to staffs, nurses, doctors and veterans at Nursing Centre for People with meritorious service Nho Quan (Ninh Binh)
Joining the delegation were leaders of some agencies and units under MOLISA, Deputy Secretary of Ninh Binh Provincial Standing Committee Nguyen Tien Thanh, leaders of the provincial People's Committee, Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs. They paid a visit to officers, doctors, employees and wounded soldiers who are being taken care and nurtured at the center.

Over 53 years, the main functions of center were receiving, managing, treating, nurturing, rehabilitating and settling policy regime for chronic illness, loss of 81% strength or more of health; Resistance activists and offspring of resistance activists infected with toxic chemicals of special circumstances and subjects of social protection. At present, the center is managing and nurturing 155 subjects, of which 80 are traumatized, 22 people are seriously ill, 22 patients were active in resistance and their offspring who are infected with toxic chemicals. The center is divided into two zones: Zone A nurtures and takes care of sick soldiers and people with severe mental illness; Zone B treats and nourishes subjects who are resistance activists and their offspring infected with toxic chemicals.

In the past years, the staffs of Nursing Center for People with meritorious services Nho Quan have always strived to overcome the difficulties to accomplish excellently their tasks, united and raised their conscience and responsibilities to effectively carry out the assigned tasks. They also maintained stable rate of patients in good mental health conditions, well controlled patients with severe disorders and not let patients escape causing disorder in the area. In daily care, the chefs of Centre cook about 100 meals with ensured nutrition and hygiene, prevent epidemic diseases. The policies, the interests of wounded and sick soldiers and the settlement of preferential treatment for their wives, children of injured are fully resolved in time, in good faith. In addition, the staffs of Centre also look after 85 graves in the cemetery of the unit on behalf of martyrs’ families.

Speaking at the visit, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung appreciated the achievements the Center in the past years, which has been always the first flag and kept the title Labor Hero Awarded since 2010. Particularly, the Party Committee and the people of Ninh Binh Province, the local authorities have noticed and contributed as much as possible to the Centre. Moreover, all staffs, civil officers, doctors and nurses of the Centre took all efforts to take care of veteran, policy subjects and their offspring with love and respect. More importantly, the rise and support of sick and wounded soldiers together with the Party and State to care for policy subjects reveal the tradition “When drinking water, think of its source” of the nation.

Minister Dao Ngoc Dung said that: Although the lives of injured, sick soldiers and policy families still face difficulties, in the past years, the Party and the State, related offices and agencies have always paid attention to them as one of the top policies. Therefore, from the bottom of our hearts, we and future generations are deeply grateful for the sacrifices, loss of injuries, sick soldiers and policy families. I hope that the wounded soldiers at the Center in particular will continue to live happily and longevity, promote the quality of Uncle Ho’s soldiers - "Soldiers but not destroyed".

In the morning of the same day, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung and his delegation visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Tran Thi Phi (had two children who are martyrs) in Ninh Tien commune, Ninh Binh; war veteran 1/4 Hoang Cong Dinh in Ninh Hoa commune, Hoa Lu district.
