10:15 AM 18/09/2024
(LĐXH)- On September 17, MoLISA Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung received Ms. Michaela Baur - Country Director of the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ) in Vietnam to discuss cooperation programs between the two sides in the fields of vocational education, labour migration and society.
At the event, the Deputy Minister said that after nearly 50 years of establishing diplomatic relations and more than 10 years of establishing the Strategic Partnership, the Vietnam-Germany relationship has been continuously consolidated, nurtured and developed increasingly well.
Vietnam highly appreciates Germany's support for development cooperation in all fields; in which, cooperation in education and training, labour, employment, and vocational education is a bright spot in the bilateral relationship.
Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung reviewed some outstanding cooperation between the two sides in labour and vocational education.
Accordingly, Germany is one of Vietnam's traditional and strategic partners in vocational education. The two sides have been implementing 10 projects and cooperation programs at the national and regional levels.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that Germany is one of the countries with the most developed economies in the world, with a high standard of living and a professional working environment.
Therefore, expanding labour cooperation with Germany is considered a great opportunity for Vietnamese workers to increase their income, skills and broaden their horizons.
Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung wishes to further strengthen cooperation in vocational education and send Vietnamese workers to Germany to work in the context that Germany has just revised its policy on receiving foreign workers.
For her part, Ms. Michaela Baur expressed her good impressions of Vietnam. Vietnam has achieved development achievements in the past decades. Germany has always accompanied and supported Vietnam on the path of building and developing the country.
Ms. Michaela Baur also highly appreciated the time to assign the management of the vocational education sector to the MoLISA as extremely necessary. Because vocational education needs to be linked to the labour market and sustainable employment.
Sharing some cooperation orientations for the coming period between GIZ and MoLISA, Ms. Michaela Baur suggested that the two sides continue to strengthen cooperation, including the Vietnam Vocational Training Reform Program III from March 2024 to February 2027.
This program has been committed to receive aid from Germany and integrated into the "VETVET Program" of donors from the EU, the German Government, and the French Government.
Ms. Michaela Baur also hoped that in the process of implementing projects and programs, the two sides need to be flexible in cooperation, based on the foundation of the rule of law, mutual respect and trust and shared responsibility./.
