Tra Vinh: Nearly 3,000 people working and studying in Japan

(LĐXH)- On June 21, the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs of Tra Vinh Province, in collaboration with Esuhai Co., Ltd., organized a departure ceremony for 105 labourers going to work and study in Japan.
Mr. Trinh Minh Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs of Tra Vinh Province, reported that from the beginning of this year, the province has sent 1,327 people to work abroad under contracts, with destinations including Japan, South Korea, Germany, Canada, the United States, Laos, and other countries.
From 2021 to present, Tra Vinh Province has sent a total of 3,799 labourers to work abroad, with approximately 80% working and studying in Japan. Up to now, the province has disbursed nearly 1,000 workers going to work abroad with over 70 billion VND.
For the period from 2021 to 2025, Tra Vinh Province has set a target to send 4,000 workers abroad under contract, including 1,600 healthcare technicians and 1,400 workers in technical fields.
Previously, the People's Committee of Tra Vinh Province signed agreements to cooperate in training high-quality human resources through programs sending young people and students to work and study in Japan.
These efforts contribute significantly to employment, sustainable poverty reduction, and meeting the province's human resource needs for socio-economic development in the foreseeable future./.
