More than 1,100 labourers go to work in RoK’s shipbuilding industry

The Overseas Labour Center under the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs has announced recruitment of labourers to work in the Republic of Korea under the Employment Permit System (EPS) program in the shipbuilding industry in 2023. It is expected that the number of qualified people is more than 1,100.
This is an activity to implement the content of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Korean Ministry of Employment and Labour and the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs on sending and receiving Vietnamese labourers to work in the RoK under the EPS program.
Accordingly, labourers registering to participate in the EPS program must attend 2 rounds of testing, including the first round on Korean language proficiency (EPS-TOPIK) and the second round on skill and capacity assessment.
Only those who pass the first round can participate in the second round. Workers who pass both rounds are eligible to apply to work in the RoK under the EPS program.
The selected occupation is the shipbuilding industry, including the following occupations: scaffolding; insulation, heat insulation; grinding; welding; pipeline systems, mechanical machines, carpentry, electricity; and some others.
Each candidate is only allowed to submit one application. The expected number of qualified people is 1,149 people.
Exam registration period is from October 16 to October 18./. BTA
