Vietnamese labourers will have 3 days off on New Year 2022

(LĐXH)- Mr. Ha Tat Thang – Director of the Department of Work Safety (Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs) said the New Year's holiday as stipulated in the Labour Code.
In 2022, New Year's Eve is on the last Saturday of the week, so labourers will have a day off on the following Monday.

Therefore, they have 3 days off from January 1, 2022 to the end of January 3, 2022.

According to the Labour Code in 2019, Vietnam has a total of 11 official holidays and Tet holidays.

The number of holidays increases by one before or after the National Day on September 2 every year as prescribed by the Government.

If the holiday falls on a weekend, labourers will be compensated for the next working day.

Regarding the 2022 Lunar New Year, the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs has proposed that labourers will be given 9 days off from January 29 to February 6./.
