Vietnam – South Korea promote labour-employment cooperation

(LĐXH)- During the visit of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue to South Korea, Minister of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung had a meeting with South Korean Minister of Employment and Labour An Kyung Duk in Seoul.

The two sides assessed that labour and employment cooperation has made important contributions to the strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and the South Korea, in the context that the two countries look forward to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (1992-2022).
Minister An Kyung Duk highly appreciated the cooperation between Vietnam's Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs and the Korean Ministry of Employment and Labour in many fields over the past time.
Minister An Kyung Duk shared that in the context of the complicated COVID-19 pandemic, sending Vietnamese workers to South Korea has faced many difficulties.
He affirmed to pay attention to and prioritize creating favorable conditions for Vietnamese workers to come to South Korea to work. He also committed to promoting cooperation between the two Ministries in many fields.
Minister Dao Ngoc Dung highly appreciated the cooperation results achieved between the two sides. He said that the cooperation with crew members of near-shore fishing vessels has nearly 10,000 Vietnamese workers working in South Korea.
“The implementation of labour supply contracts between enterprises of the two countries; ODA projects funded by the Korean Ministry of Employment and Labour in Vietnam in vocational education, employment, industrial relations, occupational safety and health have brought good results" – He added.
Minister Dao Ngoc Dung proposed the South Korean Ministry of Employment and Labour to study and expand new occupations that the country needs to receive.
At the end of the working session, the two Ministers agreed to continue strengthening bilateral exchanges between the two Ministries./.
