Promoting cooperation in vocational education between Vietnam and Singapore
(LĐXH)- On October 17, at the Presidential Palace, the Direcatorate of Vocational Education and Training (under the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam) and the Institute of Technical Education of Singapore (ITE) singed a Memorandum of Understanding in vocational education under the witness of Singapore President Halimah Yacob and Socialist Republic of Vietnam President Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
Recently, the Direcatorate of Vocational Education and Training has promoted cooperation with major agencies and vocational education institutes of Singapore, such as Singapore Polytechnic College (SP) in human resource training for 4.0 and Institute of Technical Education (ITE).
ITE is a post-secondary institution established in 1992. It is a training facility for vocational and technical education for post-secondary students, adults and corporate learners and building national skill standards.
The MoU marks the official cooperation between the two sides with specific areas to be identified.
In the near future, the two sides will focus on promoting cooperation in the field of training, capacity building for managers and leaders of vocational education institutions, human resource training to meet 4.0 and especially sharing the ITE's experience and support in building high-quality vocational training and practice centers following the very successful model of "One ITE system, three colleges" in Singapore./.
