The Deputy Minister highly appreciated Finland's interest in promoting vocational education cooperation between Vietnam and Finland, that marked by the Vietnam - Finland Vocational Education Forum, organized by the Embassy of Finland in Vietnam on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
“The forum shared lessons and exchanged directions to strengthen cooperation between Vietnam and Finland in improving the quality of vocational education; enhance opportunities for cooperation between Vietnam’s vocational education institutions and Finnish training institutions" - Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung assessed.
He proposed that the Ambassador continue to be a bridge for coordination and promotion of cooperative activities in vocational education between the two countries.
Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung said that Vietnam and Finland have not signed an agreement on labour cooperation, and this is considered one of the promising areas in the future.
From the end of 2023 until now, about 20 Vietnamese workers have been accepted by Finland to work in occupations such as nursing, welding and forestry.
Ambassador Keijo Norvanto said that Vietnam and Finland have a multi-faceted relationship, focusing on two main areas of trade cooperation and sustainable development.
However, there is not much cooperation between the two countries in labour and vocational education.
