Prime Minister requested to urgently issue policies helping workers to overcome Covid-19 pandemic

(LĐXH)- The Prime Minister has just issued Directive 16/CT-TTg on ensuring decent jobs, raising living standards and improving working conditions for workers.
In the Directive, the Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) to urgently complete and submit to the authorities for promulgation policies to support workers and businesses to overcome the difficulties caused by Covid-19 pandemic.
He also asked MoLISA to timely implement these policies in order to ensure the stability of the labour and employment situation and to effectively maintain the “dual target” of both epidemic prevention and control and economic development.
The Ministry was requested to improve qualifications and skills for workers to adap with changing conditions during and after the Covid-19 epidemic.
The Prime Minister suggested MoLISA to research and perfect legal policies on labour, employment, wages, social insurance, labour safety and health based on Covid-19 pandemic impact.
Besides, MoLISA was asked to advise on working hours adjust in line with the socio-economic development situation; amending and supplementing the list of heavy, hazardous and dangerous occupations and jobs.
Previously, the Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) to urgently finalize the Government's draft Resolution on policies to support employees and employers facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic./.
