MoLISA proposing Japan to expand occupations to receive Vietnamese workers

(LĐXH)- Recently, Minister of MoLISA Dao Ngoc Dung had a meeting with Mr. Takebe Tsutomu, Chairman of the Nagomi Association (Japan's National Association for Support and Development of Foreign Manpower), Senior Advisor to the Parliamentary Alliance Japan - Vietnam friendship.

Informing Mr. Takebe Tsutomu, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung said that in March 2024, Vietnam will organize a skills assessment exam in the two sectors of nursing and agriculture for workers working in Japan following a specific skills program. Vietnam is openly recruiting candidates.
"In 2023, Vietnam sent more than 150,000 workers to work abroad. This was also the year marking a new milestone when the largest number of Vietnamese workers going to Japan ever, reaching 85,000 people. This affirms that Vietnamese workers always receive high appreciation and trust from Japanese unions and businesses; as well as they are very secure when working in Japan" - Minister Dao said. Ngoc Dung said.
The Minister added that in the coming time, MoLISA as well as himself will continue to pay attention to issues related to the trainee program, specific skills program...
The Minister proposed that the Japanese Government open more groups of specified skills to receive Vietnamese workers, in the sectors of restaurants and food processing because these are two advantageous areas of Vietnam.
At the event, Mr. Takebe Tsutomu highly appreciated Vietnam's help, including the supply of labour and trainees to Japan to work in the context of Japan facing a serious labour shortage problem as well as the Yen depreciated sharply.
He expressed his wish for MoLISA leaders to support and create conditions for the idea of building a high-end vocational training center to soon come into practice./.
