Mobilize and effectively use laborers returning from abroad
10:17 AM 09/02/2023
(LĐXH)- In recent years, sending workers to work abroad has grown strongly in both quality and quantity. The labour markets are expanding, especially those with good income and working conditions such as Japan, Korea, Taiwan (China)...
Besides, many new labour markets have been opened such as Australia, New Zealand, Federal Republic of Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania...
The number of Vietnamese workers going to work abroad has steadily increased. Since 2014, the number has exceeded 100,000 people/year. In particular, in the period from 2013 to 2021, Vietnam has sent nearly 1 million workers to work abroad.
Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Ba Hoan said that labourers who work abroad have higher incomes than the same jobs in the country.
This contributes significantly to the country's foreign currency source, as well as increasing savings and improving the lives of workers and their families.
This labour force after returning home becomes a resource for socio-economic development in the country and an important factor in spreading industrial style, labour discipline and a cultural bridge between Vietnam and the world.
Therefore, labour resources after returning home need to be mobilized and used effectively for the purpose of promoting socio-economic development of the country.
According to the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, in 2022, the total number of Vietnamese workers going to work abroad under contracts was 142,779, reaching 158.64% of the plan./.
