Minister: Resolution 68 and Decision 23 are being implemented in the right way

(LĐXH)- Minister Dao Ngoc Dung said that policies promulgated over the past time, especially Resolution 68 and Decision 23, have been being implemented in the right way.

Reporting to the National Assembly on July 25, Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung said that, after 15 days of implementing the support package of VND 26,000 billion, the support policy group from the occupational accident insurance and occupational disease insurance fund has reviewed and supported 375,000 employers with a budget of 4,300 billion VND.  
11 million workers have benefited and this first policy group has now ended.
According to the Minister, in the coming time, in order to more effectively support people and businesses to overcome difficulties caused by the COVID-19 epidemic, it is necessary to focus on a number of specific contents as followings:
Firstly, the Government has been directing the Ministry of Planning and Investment to comprehensively review the support policies to adjust and supplement new policies in a timely manner.
Secondly, the social welfare must be paid in any difficulties.
Third, fully implement policies for revolution contributors, especially policies on subsidies as well as mobilize social resources to take care of them.
Fourth, complete and implement multidimensional poverty reduction policies according to the Resolution of the National Assembly and policies on social security, social protection, social security and human security.
Fifth, building a social security system for the people, especially developing the system of social insurance and health insurance; building harmonious and progressive labour relations in the enterprise, especially in difficult times.
Sixth, branches and localities continue to implement faster and more effective Resolution No. 68/NQ-CP and other social policies; mobilize the participation of society to take care of people and workers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
On July 1, the Government issued Resolution No. 68/NQ-CP providing a welfare package of VND 26,000 billion with 12 policies to support workers and businesses facing difficulties due to the pandemic. A week later, Decision 23 was issued to guide the application and procedures for receiving the support package./.
