Minister Dao Ngoc Dung received the ASEAN’s General Secretary

(LĐXH)- Minister Dao Ngoc Dung hopes that the ASEAN Secretariat, under the leadership of ASEAN Secretary General Kao Kim Hourn, can help strengthen connections between the Pillars in ASEAN, partners and sponsors to promote further the implementation of common priorities and tasks of ASEAN as well as of other countries.

On the afternoon of April 23, at the Ministry Headquarters, Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) Dao Ngoc Dung received ASEAN Secretary General Kao Kim Hourn on the occasion of his attend the ASEAN Future Forum in Vietnam from April 21-24.
Minister Dao Ngoc Dung wished the Secretary General a successful term with many breakthroughs, contributing to the cohesion and prosperous development of ASEAN.
He highly appreciated the Secretary General's participation and speech at the ASEAN Future Forum, which demonstrated the Secretary General's high support for Vietnam.
At the meeting, the Secretary General of ASEAN emphasized that the 2024 ASEAN Future Forum with the theme "Building a fast-growing, sustainable, people-centered ASEAN Community" is an important initiative led by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh proposed at the 43rd ASEAN Summit in September 2023.
The Forum demonstrates commitment to the Community building process and the long-term development future of ASEAN; contributing to increasing the international community's attention to ASEAN, complementing official forums chaired by ASEAN.
The forum aims to promote extensive, substantive and comprehensive discussion on regional and international strategic issues./.
