10:02 AM 14/06/2022
(LĐXH)- The Government shall develop policies to encourage and create conditions for workers to study and improve their professional qualifications and skills to adapt the fourth industrial revolution.
MoLISA Minister Dao Ngoc Dung talks with workers
At the dialogue with workers themed "Vietnamese workers with aspiration to develop the country", MoLISA Minister Dao Ngoc Dung said: Around 2026, according to the World Labour Organization's forecast, about 40% of workers will no longer have skills suitable for current jobs because they will be replaced by new technologies; 30% of workers are forced to change jobs.
Thus, from now on, we must prepare in advance for the next 5-10 years in the spirit of the Resolution of the XIII Party Congress.
Currently, the rate of trained workers reaches 70%, but only 24.5% have professional certificates.
Comparing in the ASEAN region, Vietnam is one of the countries with a low rate of vocational training.
Therefore, human resource training is identified as one of the three strategic breakthroughs of the country for rapid development.
MoLISA Minister Dao Ngo Dung emphasized: Recently, the Prime Minister issued the Strategy for Vocational Education Development to 2030 with important solutions:
First of all, we need to quickly train and stream high school students. Accordingly, students who do not have the need and conditions to study further will both learn a trade and study culture (9+).
Currently, 23 provinces and cities are implementing this model with good results.
Second, we will train a new workforce.
Third, Vietnam will provide high-quality training.
The Government and the Prime Minister discussed with relevant Ministries and branches to spend VND 2,000 billion on vocational training to improve the quality of vocational training for workers./.
