(LĐXH)- “After social distancing, localities have returned to a new normal state in the spirit of flexible, safe and effective adaptation. So far, around 70-75% of businesses and employees have returned to work” - said Minister of MoLISA Dao Ngoc Dung at an online meeting with localities on solutions to restore and develop the labor market on November 3.
Minister Dao Ngoc Dung shared that over the past time, the Government has issued many policies to support employees and employers facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Minister highly appreciated the localities that have proactively issued many separate support policies for people to overcome the pandemic.
These policies have made a very important contribution to retaining and ensuring the lives of labourers as well as to freelance workers.
"If the epidemic situation is controlled stably as it is now, along with boosting vaccination, then by the end of the first quarter and the beginning of the second quarter of 2022, the labour and employment situation of localities will be restored as before the epidemic outbreak” – Minister Dao Ngoc Dung concluded.
In addition, the situation of people and workers moving from big cities to their hometown is also paid special attention by Minister Dao Ngoc Dung.
In the coming time, the Minister requested that when the epidemic situation is gradually controlled, localities need to speed up the progress of supporting people, ensuring that all pandemic-hit people are enjoyed the policies.
In addition, the Minister suggested that provinces and cities urgently complete reports on a full assessment of the labour and social situation to propose policies to promulgate, which focuses on three major issues: retain employees; support workers to return to the labour market; regulating the market, focusing on solving the labour supply-demand balance./.
