Hanoi honors the contributions of social workers

(LĐXH)- Hanoi Department of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs has just held the 7th Vietnam Social Work Day Celebration in 2023 with the theme "Vietnamese Social Work - Professionalism, Creativity and Development".
Currently, social work in Hanoi city is increasingly interested by many people. Up to the present time, it has become an indispensable activity, especially in the Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs sector.
Accordingly, the system of organizational structure and social work staff has been increasingly expanded.
Collectives and individuals that have made positive contributions to social work activities are honored
These are people who work in the fields of child care and protection, support for people with disabilities, drug prevention and control, mental health care, care and support for people affected by HIV/AIDS, reducing poverty and helping the elderly…
The professionalism of social work has also been shown very clearly in mobilizing resources and promoting the potential of each individual, family and community.
Some social work services are promoted to socialization. Many people and children with special difficulties are provided with social assistance and social work services.
From 2016 up to now, the Centrer for Social Work and the Hanoi Children's Protection Fund have given gifts, scholarships, bicycles, school supplies… to more than 77 thousand turns of children; as well as counseling and assisting more than 3,600 children, women and other people in need of urgent protection; life skills education for nearly 1,500 children.
On this occasion, the Hanoi Department of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs presented a golden board honoring 18 collectives and 64 individuals who made positive contributions to social work activities; awarded a scholarship of 2 million dong and a gift of 600,000 dong to 50 disadvantaged children./.
