02:21 PM 13/08/2024
A memorial and reburial ceremony was held at a martyrs’ cemetery in Ham Thuan Bac district in the south central province of Binh Thuan on August 13 for the remains of four martyrs who laid down their lives during the two resistance wars in Vietnam.
The sets of remains were found in Bac Binh, Ham Thuan Bac and Tanh Linh districts in July.

Colonel Ngo Minh Luc, Political Commissar of the Binh Thuan provincial Military Command, said that after the two long and arduous resistance wars against French colonialists and US imperialists, Binh Thuan was one of the fierce battlefields, where thousands of soldiers from across the nation fell on.

To date, remains of more than 9,000 martyrs have been reburied in the provincial martyrs’ cemetery, while those of over 1,000 others who also died in the battlefield in Binh Thuan have not been found./. VNA
